When I took the ladies of #projectsew for our first fabric shopping trip, I immediately saw this mustard color cotton and linen blend fabric and knew instantly I wanted them for the paper bag pants. I cut them around the same time that I did the black denim one however, it took me longer to sew them up. I guess I have been extremely busy.
STYLING
I paired my look with an Ankara print duster that I made last year using Simplicity Pattern Company New Look Pattern #NL6514 and modifying it by cutting the back and flaring it out at the waist for a more fuller look. Earrings are from Walmart and the bag is from Amazon fashions. These are cute colors for the summer!!
This McCall Pattern Company Pattern #m7726 was the #sewyourview for the month of March, and I wanted to make it again!
For this pair I didn’t cut larger, I cut for my finished garment measurement which was a 14. I wish it paperbagged more at the waist however, I love how they came out. I did modify the belt, by making it longer. I already bought a dark purple and faded red denim look for my next 2 pair. I need to find a really nice rich feeling black fabric to make these in.
