For the December #sewyourview I sewed up a pair of pjs. My goal was to do them for the whole family but after my brother’s wedding in December and my large event installation, my son got sick and then I a few days later. I was out of commission for about 2 weeks and really didn’t start feeling better till right before Christmas and didn’t get them done till after.
I had a red and black buffalo check fabric in mind, however when I went to my monthly sewing group Project Sew I opened my bags and realized that I left all the fabric for my project on the dining room table. So what was I supposed to do….waste the day? Oh no! I drove to the nearest JoAnn since they were having a $2.49 sale on their luxe fleece. This JoAnn Fabrics is a HUGE store. They have everything and I feel has more options than the one that I typically go to. I was blown away by the selection. Since this was my second time there I wasn’t familiar with the layout like my home store. I asked the cutting table lady where the flannel/luxe fleec was located. To my surprise there was an extensive selection. I began to feel overwhelmed. I immediately face timed my daughter so that we could pick out a fabric she would like. (She never likes anything I pick, until after its done and says she wants one and then there is no more…..Teenagers LOL).
I saw this snuggle flannel beige and black buffalo check and a purple one (her favorite color) and knew that would be the one.
