We all have had to pivot during this pandemic. I moved from having in person sewing meet ups to meeting on zoom. The same went for the ladies of Sew Creative Lounge in DC. As cities closed due to the pandemic they had to pivot from meeting in person. They didn’t want to stop serving their customers and Sew Creative family so they decided to add additional features to their growing list of offerings.
When Cecily messaged me to tell me that they were selling fabric over the summer I loved the idea. I chose 2.5 yards to this beautiful Ankara fabric. The fabric is very vibrant and has gold foil leaf print that gives it a special pop.
I chose McCall’s #M7627 for the wrap blouse and added elastic to the sleeves. I opted to not do the pleated sleeves bc I didn’t have enough fabric. For the peplum I used McCallas #M7752 as I like the fullness that pattern gives. Do you enjoy hacking patterns? Well I do, and I do it all of the time.
If you are in the DC area make sure to visit Sew Creative Lounge or hit them up online and purchase some really lovely fabric.
