Hi Slayers!
It has been one of those weeks. May is here and it quickly approached. My dress has been finished for some time but I needed to get the time to upload the pictures. The past two weeks I have been busy. I made my first prom dress, which I will share in an upcoming post this week! Enough about how busy I am, let’s get into why you are here.
Step 11
Stitch front to back , leaving open between large circles. Stitch pocket edges together to side seams.
STEP 12 – 13
Clip back seam allowances above and below pockets. Press pockets toward front along seamline. (Guys I am so sorry, I thought I got pictures of that step.)
STEP 14
Stitch FRONT NECK FACING (6) sections together at center front, leaving open above large circle.
STEP 15
Stitch BACK NECK FACING (7) and front neck facing together at shoulders. Finish unnotched edges.
STEP 16
Pin facing to neck edge matching symbols and seams. Stitch neck edge, breaking at large circle. Trim
step 18
Turn in back opening edges of facing to clear zipper SLIPSTITCH folded edges to zipper tape. I chose to to stitch close to the zipper. As this could not be seen.
STEP 19 TOPSTITCH
I chose to understitch at this step, as I didn’t want the stitches to show on the color part of the fabric.
Step 20
Stitch FRONT ARMHOLE FACING (8) to BACK ARMHOLE (9) at shoulder and sides. FINISH unnotched edge. Since I serged the pieces, I did not have to finish it. I had to perform some surgery on my serger so if you noticed a few skipped stitches it still needs some tweaking.

Step 21.
Pin facings to armhole edges, matching notches and seams. Stitch.
Step 22.
Turn facings to inside press. Tack in place at seams.
STEP 23.
TOPSTITCH armohole edges. In this step I chose to understitch as well.
Step 24.
Sew the hook and eye to upper edge of back. I didn’t have to do this step since my invisible zipper came all the way to the top once the facing was folded it over it.
STEP 25.
Make 5/8’11 NARROW Hem to lower edge easing in fullness if necessary. Stitch cole edges, matching notches and seams, stitch. I got a chance to use my new hemming foot. I’ll give a review it an up coming post.
The finished look! I can’t wait to wear it. I think I will do a cute paper flower fascinator. Again, this is one of the most flattering patterns ever. I truly love the way the princess seams fit on my body. I will admit, I am a princess seam lover now!!! Catch you later for the next post and finished look!!
